At a presentation held in New York recently, Activision Blizzard's CFO Thomas Tippl confirmed that both StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm are scheduled to release in 2010. Kotaku got hold of a digital snapshot of the Blizzard release schedule slide, which sadly indicates that Diablo III will be out in the "next few years."
While the lineup confirms continued World of Warcraft support and a Starcraft II launch in 2010 (with expansions to follow after), Diablo III was marked to be released in 2011 at the soonest.
While the slide is certainly not definitive, Blizzard is well-known for taking its time and not rushing product out the door. 2011 seems extremely likely for Diablo III if for no other reason than 2010's Cataclysm and StarCraft II releases being enough for one year.

Bah.

Bryn says: Can't say I'm surprised honestly. I don't think Blizzard has ever released three high-profile titles in one single 12-month timeframe. It's a bit of a shame, as I'm really looking forward to Diablo III, but I'll settle for a little StarCraft II and Cataclysm action next year.
