It's been a year since BioWare launched its Star Wars MMO, and the focus, finally, is now on adding new end game content for level 50 players. In its new State of the Game address, BioWare says end game stuff is the "top priority" heading into 2013 for SWTOR.

If you were hoping open world PvP would be among new the end game fun, well, you'll have to wait until 2014 at the earliest. Posting on the official SWTOR forums, Executive Producer Jeff Hickman said BioWare "will be experiementing with different approach to open world PvP, something that encourages organic PvP in contested areas in a new and interesting way." But overall, new PvP content will come in the form of new Warzones and seasons. Open world PvP is still on the "design wall," Hickman said, but not for this year.

As for the end game content that will be added, Hickman said new Operations, Flashpoints, incentives to revisit existing areas, and difficulty modes are all on the way. In addition, he noted that the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion is being designed with high-level players in mind.

Last, same gender romance is coming to SWTOR soon, but with a twist. It's taken "a lot more work than we realized" enabling same sex relationships with existing companions, Hickman said, so while BioWare irons out the kinks, it is adding same gender romance options with some NPCs on Makeb.

So it appears level 50 players will finally have good reason to return to SWTOR in 2013. Will you be resurrecting your high-level characters?
