GarageGames, best known for its line of independent casual game titles (Orbz, ThinkTanks, Bridge Construction Set), has released its first hardcore game title, Dark Horizons: Lore. The game is available for both Mac OS X and Windows at an early adopter price of $24.95 USD from GarageGames' official site.
Dark Horizons: Lore is an online-focused, team-based first-person shooter set in the year 2155, where the Earth is a war ravaged disaster area being fought over by armies and factions using cybernetically-controlled mech-style war machines. Players pick a side and battle other players in team-based combat where squads of mechanized machines battle each other for power and victory.
A free, time-limited, trial version of the game is available for download at www.garagegames.com/lore for both Mac OSX and Windows (the Linux version is coming soon). The online retail version is available for $24.95 early adopter price with no additional monthly fees.
