Grandia II

Ubi Soft's release of Grandia II brings one of the great console RPGs to the PC. Grandia II captivated Dreamcast owners with its effective characterizations, detailed environments and innovative combat system. Now PC owners can experience all that with this very close translation.

Some 10,000 years ago, the god of light vanquished the dark god Valmar, although the battle created a great rift that now divides the world in two. When there surfaces the possibility of Valmar's rebirth, a female Church singer named Elena and her bodyguard, Ryudo (who doesn't much like churches or females), set out on a quest to prevent it. Along the way, they will have to fight evil forces and interact with a number of helpful characters. Fans of the original Grandia's battle system -- an innovative mix of turn-based, strategy, and real-time elements -- will be happy to know that it remains intact in this superior RPG.
