I love it when a mod turns legit, especially when that mod opens itself up for more modding. Originally put out as a total conversion for Unreal Tournament 2004, Killing Floor was later ported over to the Red Orchestra engine and released as a standalone game. Continuing with that history of modding goodness, Tripwire Interactive has announced that Killing Floor will be getting the Steam Workshop treatment starting today.
Scrolling through what's already up on the Killing Floor Workshop page, I've found a Doom level pack, a Gun Game multiplayer mode, a metric butt-ton of new guns, and a Horde-style map based on the first level of Metal Gear Solid. Why the heck not?
To celebrate, Tripwire has discounted their catalogue. While none of their games are available for cheap individually, you can pick up every Steam game they've released for $60 total. That include the Red Orchestra games, Killing Floor, The Ball, and my personal favorite Dwarfs!? Not a bad deal if you don't have any of those to start with.
