Be ready, mages. Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 is coming out June 20. The new edition of the digital version of the classic collectible card game gives us 10 new decks, new puzzles (I love me some MTG puzzles), and a new boss challenge in the legendary Nicol Bolas. For those of you unfamiliar with Bolas, just know that he's a really scary dragon that'll mess your stuff up.

For veterans, one of the biggest shifts in the way Duels 2013 plays is the new option to tap mana manually. While the past games' AI have been pretty good about tapping the right mana for spells, there were moments in which I wish I could have chosen which lands to use, so this change is more than welcome.

There's also the new multiplayer mode designed for three or more players called Planechase. In the chaotic variant, special cards have a chance to change the rules of the game midgame every time a player casts a sorcery. Casual Magic has always been about this crazy style of play, so it's awesome to see that sort of thing make its way into Duels.
