Gamers will get to see what the first-person version of PC classic Syndicate plays like later this month with the launch of the Syndicate co-op demo. Well, some gamers. In a decision best described as "dodgy," publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Syndicate co-op demo will not be available on PC.
Yes, Bullfrog's 1993 isometric squad-based tactical shooter became a classic on the PC. That doesn't mean EA and Starbreeze will give our platform of choice any love. We asked an EA representative if PC gamers will get any type of trial run with the new Syndicate, and were told that, "There are no current plans for a PC demo."
Oh well, there's always Cartel, Paradox Interactive's in-development PC exclusive. The top-down RTS is set in a dystopian future where players control a squad of super soldiers and specialists working to help a megacorporation secure worldwide dominance. Sound familiar?
