The long-awaited fourth entry in the Street Fighter series. For a couple of weeks now rumors have been circulating in regards to a new Street Fighter IV sequel announcement. While some believed Capcom Japan would choose the Tokyo Game Show to out the secretive project, it looks as though tomorrow will be the day for the official reveal.

Street Fighter IV is Street Fighter at its best. It's not the obtuse canvas for virtuosity that Street Fighter III was, nor are its subtleties bogged down by anything like Alpha 3's alphabet soup of "isms." All the stuff that makes it go is more or less plain to see, and more importantly, easy to execute (comparatively speaking -- if double-quarter-circle motions give you cramps, expect no quarter from even this game). Both Sagat and Seth are overpowered according to a report from VideoGamer.com. The site recently hit up Capcom's assistant producer Ryota Niitsuma who admitted that the two Street Fighter IV characters "might have turned out a little bit stronger than we expected."

Capcom's Christian Svennson has posted an entry to the Capcom Unity blog that details the final release date for the long-awaited PC version of Street Fighter IV. U.S. players will be able to choose from either the regular DVD edition costing $40 or a special $60 bundle which ships with one of the Street Fighter IV Mad Catz joypads. Read More »
