A number of small downloadable add-ons have been made avaialble for Bethesda's hit role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion since it was released last year. Now a full-fledged expansion pack is scheduled for Oblivion. It's titled, The Shivering Isles and features a new realm called Sheogorath. Sheogorath is another plane of Oblivion and belongs to the Daedric Prince of Madness. New enemies, new items, spells, ingredients and characters will all be included in the package. Todd Howard, executive producer for The Elder Scrolls says, "Shivering Isles will offer a whole new and different experience to anyone who played and enjoyed Oblivion."
The PC version of Shivering Isles will be available in stores, but the Xbox 360 version of the expansion pack will be released through Xbox Live. Bethesda says that the expansion will contain about 30 hours of new gameplay. So far no pricing has been revealed. Both versions should be available for purchase sometime this spring. No mention was made about whether or not Shivering Isles will make its way to the PlayStation 3.
UPDATE: It looks like a PS3 version of the expansion will eventually be avaiable, we'll keep you posted of any new developments.
