The folks behind World of Tanks sure like to keep things fresh. Wargaming announced that the next update to the free-to-play game (version 8.4, for those of you keeping track) will contain a bunch of new tanks and four updated maps. Still playing World of Tanks? This free-to-play action game is still going strong, and even recently set a world record with over 500,000 concurrent players on a single server in Russia. (Which I have to imagine involves a server shard or group of individual battle servers rather than a single battle, because, well, half a million tanks on one map would make things a bit complicated.) We must stop this overpopulation of tanks in the world. Not our world, the World of Tanks. There are simply too many, and this new announcement of a Chinese tank tree joining the ranks isn't exactly going to help. The British (tanks) are coming! The British (tanks) are coming! In World of Tanks 8.1, a whole new tree of armored weaponry will be dropped onto the battlefield, all from the British Isles. Not only that, there are four revamped maps for you to roll around on. And that's not even mentioning the new premium vehicles to pick up. Oh, and you can buy premium ammo with in-game currency now.
