Blizzard has announced today that it will hold its fourth annual Worldwide Invitational at the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center in Paris, France. The event will take place from June 28th to 29th, and will feature invitational tournaments for StarCraft, Warcraft III, and World of Warcraft. Attendees will also have the opportunity to play two of Blizzard's prominent upcoming titles at the show: StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. Additionally, Blizzard developers will be hosting discussion panels throughout the two-day event. Other activities announced by the company include a silent auction, musical performances, and Blizzard-related merchandise sales.
StarCraft II was announced at last year's Worldwide Invitational in Seoul, South Korea, so it may not be completely off-base to speculate that the company could follow suit this year, and reveal its upcoming "next-generation MMO" at the Paris event.
Tickets to the event will cost 70€/£55 (about $100 USD), and have yet to go on sale on the Worldwide Invitational's official website. Both domestic and international attendees will have access to tickets as soon as they're available.
