If you've been banned from the Internet for the past few years, you probably missed out on one of the most addictive puzzle games to hit the big time: PopCap Games' Peggle. The game borrows the physics from a classic pinball game, and tasks you with clearing boards of different-colored pegs with a limited number of balls. Like any great puzzle game, Peggle is easy to learn yet difficult to master.

The folks over at PopCap have recently come up with a way to get players Peggling from within other games, specifically the uber-popular World of Warcraft. By heading over to PopCap's WoW Promo site, you can download add-on versions of Bejeweled and Peggle that can be played from within the World of Warcraft client.

Gerald: The great thing about this version of Peggle is that it's been custom-made to fit cleanly into the WoW experience. The background images are drawn from locations throughout the game world, like Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Clearing stages will earn you talent points, which can then be allocated in order to boost your Peggle-scoring stats. There are battle and duel modes as well, so you can easily compete with your guildmates and friends who also install the add-on.

The hands-down funniest feature is the Peggle Loot option. Raid leaders and Loot masters can distribute loot to members by initiating a /peggleloot challenge. A random level is loaded up, and members of the raid or party can choose to play or pass. The player who gets the highest score with a single shot wins the loot.

I know I'll be encouraging my guild to consider /peggleloot for our next raid night. The bad part? I can also see myself missing a lot of ready checks because I'm too busy dueling another player in Peggle.
