When I woke up this morning, I was overwhelmed by Cyber Monday. Dozens of games on sale in dozens of different places, all begging for me to throw money at. And that's not even mentioning any of the other gear. So, in a valiant attempt to stop myself from spending my entire life savings on geeky things, I've pared it down to my five best suggestions.
First up, Amazon has XCOM: Enemy Unknown for $25 all day. That's a 50% off deal on what's probably the best strategy game of the year. If you've been holding out, this is the time to pick it up.
While you're at it, grab Dishonored at Amazon for $30. Yup, another 50% off on a very recent and very good game. Steam is matching this deal as well, if you prefer Valve's service to Amazon's.

Speaking of which, you should definitely grab The Witcher 2 for $7.50 on Steam. Easily in my top three favorite games of 2011, the mature-themed RPG is a steal at its normally $30 price, but at less than eight bucks, you'd have to be absolutely out of your mind not to pick it up.
So, I was going to try and keep this list to five things, but Steam's indie game selection is out of control, so I'm collecting the best indies you can get for $20 and calling it one item. Cool? Cool. For a grand total of $20.19, pick up Legend of Grimrock, The Basement Collection, VVVVVV, Zeno Clash, Orcs Must Die 2, Home, Binding of Isaac, and Thirty Flights of Loving. That oughta keep you busy. Yeah, I went over by $.19. Sue me.
But wherever will you put all of your games? Well, Newegg's got a 240GB SSD for $140. If you haven't experienced the joys of an SSD's load times, I highly recommend checking it out.
So there you have it. My five(ish) recommended purchases on this Cyber Monday. What will you guys be picking up? Let us know what great deals you stumble upon.
