APB Districts

Districts

Social District

Finally, you've got a chance to blow all that cash you've earned, and the Social District is where you'll want to do it. This non-violent area is a safe haven for Criminals and Enforcers alike, and the former get to hang out in the western buildings, while the boys in blue occupy the eastern ones. Within, you'll find all sorts of booths. They'll permit customizing your clothing (for a price), modifying your vehicle (changing its coloration and adding decals is free), and much more.

On top of that, you'll be able to pull up your map and see green indicators for local friendlies. Like Double-B and LeBoyce, you can exchange goods with them. Though your low-grade weaponry pulled you through the tutorials, you may want to grab something nicer for the future. Keep in mind, though, that your cash can go fast, so try to keep an eye on it. Whenever you're shopping, your money will be listed in the upper left corner; elsewhere, it's located in the upper right.

If you're having trouble finding any of the customization booths, you can change your settings to mark them all on your map. To do so, use the ESC key to pull up your Options menu, then click on Map. In the lower-right corner, you'll see the Legend window. Click on anything that isn't currently being displayed (e.g., Marketplace Kiosk), and its locations will immediately appear on your Map. Since it's semi-transparent, you can leave it up while running to your chosen store.

Beyond changing your appearance, you may want to stop by one of the handy Joker vending machines. They're all over the place, and you'll do well to top off (or at least reasonably replenish) your ammunition stock. If you think you're going to take a break for a while, enter the Wardrobe and simply leave your computer unattended; after hours of idling, you'll unlock the Fashonista Achievements, which fills the store with far more clothing (though you'll still need to unlock the rights to wear it)!

When you're satisfied with your purchases and modifications, bring up your Main Menu again, and click on District Select; it's time to investigate the Financial and Waterfront Districts.

Financial & Waterfront Districts

By completing missions in Tutorial Mode, you built a foundation of basic knowledge. Now, you can easily accept assignments, follow waypoints, and work toward finishing objectives. Truthfully, that's all you'll need to know when it comes to the Contacts themselves. Within both the Financial and Waterfront Districts, the majority of Contacts (especially early on) supply you with identical missions. Even if you've already completed one of them, the separate NPCs will cycle through the same list of potential assignments (which aren't District dependent), and will offer them repeatedly.

Furthermore, these missions have randomized waypoints; you'll never get the same results twice. With that in mind, here are some tips that should help you out...
